Paradise lost (and found)

View from our cabaña

Oh yes, early in the morning arrival and not knowing that you have found paradise, have you ever been so lucky? We were....in Punta del Diablo. The plan was to leave the same evening again, but we ended up staying two days before we met Brasil. We found this lovely cottage and another tourist couple, Michelle and Ian, and we splitted the cottage with them. There was not another tourist in sight, only one place was open where they served the fish that they just caught (which was superfresh and delicious) and after 19.00 hours, the whole village was dark and deserted. No internet, no tourists. so we sat by the fire and drank some wine. It was amazingly quiet, laid-back. All the superlatives apply once again. Summer feeling started to. The weather was very nice and soft for us for once (the nights not counted), but then we had the fireplace. Ellen and I slept in front of the fireplace with the sound of the Atlantic Ocean softly swaying...

In the restaurant, with the locals of Punta del Diablo....
